ACENAC N Tablet is used for relieve pain associated with:

• Periarthritis of scapulohumerous (inability to move the shoulder);
• Epilepsy, neuropathic pain, seizures, anxiety disorder in adults;
• Nerve damage pain;
• Muscle Spasm (contraction of a muscle that can cause a great deal of pain);
• Rheumatoid arthritis (chronic inflammation of the joints);
• Ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis of the spine);
• Osteoarthritis (arthritis of joints);
• Lumbago (pain in the muscles and joints of the lower back).

AceclofACENAC N Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

• Aceclofenac is a NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (reduces fever) medicine.
  • Aceclofenac inhibits an enzyme cyclo-oxygenase, which is responsible of production of prostaglandins in our body. (prostaglandins are natural chemicals in our body which promote inflammation).
  • Aceclofenac increases glycosaminoglycans (GAG) synthesis which helps in repair and regeneration of articular cartilage.

• Pregabalin is an anti-epileptic (pharmacological agents used for treatment of epileptic seizures) medicine.
  • Pregabalin decreases pain and seizures by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells.
  • Pregabalin reduces the release of neurotransmitters like noradrenaline, glutamate and substance P to treat nerve pain.

AceclofACENAC N Tablet works together by:

• Blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (enzyme) in the body.
• Modifying the release of neurotransmitters released by the nerves in the brain.

• The dosage of oral tablet of AceclofACENAC N Tablet depends on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take AceclofACENAC N Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
• You are advised to take the tablet with or without food two or three times a day as prescribed by the doctor.
• AceclofACENAC N Tablet is not recommended for children and adolescent under the age of 18 years.
• Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water. Do not chew the tablet.
• Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
• If you have epilepsy its important to take your medication regularly, as directed by your doctor, because missing doses can trigger seizures in some people.
• If you miss a dose of AceclofACENAC N Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

If you have taken an overdose of AceclofACENAC N Tablet, please contact your doctor immediately.

Symptoms of overdose of AceclofACENAC N Tablet are:

• Headache, dizziness, excitation, coma
• Nausea, vomiting
• Tremors and shaking, slurred speech
• Chest pain, seizure (convulsions)
• Low blood pressure, sweating
• Dry mouth
• Jaundice, malaise, nausea, abdominal swelling

Drugs that interact with AceclofACENAC N Tablet:

• Anticoagulants
• Barbiturates
• Carbamazepine
• Cholestyramine
• Cyclosporin
• Digoxin
• Diuretics
• Hydantoins
• Isoniazid
• Lorazepam
• Mifepristone
• Metoclopramide
• Paracetamol
• Tacrolimus
• Rifampin
• Sulfinpyrazone
• Quinolones

Most common side effects of AceclofACENAC N Tablet are:

• Nausea, vertigo, dizzies, nervousness
• Depression, drowsiness, insomnia
• Muscle cramp, joint pain, back pain, pain in limb
• Bronchospasm
• Diarrhoea
• Liver Damage
• Weight gain

Please stop your tablets and contact your physician immediately if you have

• nephrotoxicity (producing little or no urine, urinating more often or less often, lower back pain or have blood in your urine, decreased urine output, shortness of breath, fatigue, confusion, swelling in your legs, seizures, coma);
• hypersensitivity reaction (breathing difficulty, bronchospasm, skin rashes, swelling of the face, tongue, larynx);
• constipation;
• convulsion;

• it has passed the expiry date of the medicine printed on the pack.
• the foil or packaging is torn or shows signs of tampering or there is discolouration.
• you have a history of alcoholism or drug abuse or dependence.

Tell your doctor if

• you are allergic to AceclofACENAC N Tablet or to any ingredients of this medicine.
• you are taking any other drugs, OTC medications, herbal products or nutritional supplements.
• you have heart failure, hypertension, liver disease, kidney disease.
• you have asthma or any allergic disorders.
• you have history of gastro-intestinal ulceration, bleeding or perforation.
• you have haemorrhagic (inner bleeding) disorders.
• you have hypertension, cardiac Impairment.
• you are planning a surgery or any procedure.
• you have a history of heart disease.
• you are pregnant or trying to conceive or are breastfeeding.

AceclofACENAC N Tablet should be stored at room temperature away from moisture, heat and light. Keep the medicine out of reach from children.

AceclofACENAC N Tablet causes drowsiness, fatigue, visual disturbances and dizziness in some individuals. Avoid driving if you are taking AceclofACENAC N Tablet.

3. Should I follow any special dietary instructions while taking AceclofACENAC N Tablet?

There are no dietary restrictions if you are taking AceclofACENAC N Tablet.
