What ADIURETIN is used for?

It is used to, treat and diagnose a chronic disease called diabetes insipidus which causes extreme thirst and continuous production of large volumes of dilute urine treat frequent urination during the night in adults (nocturia) associated with multiple sclerosis.

Direction for Use :

Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor Adults (including the elderly): One spray into each nostril.

Interactions

Please inform to your doctor, if you: are on medication for depression or epilepsy are taking a medicine for pain and/or inflammation containing non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (also known as NSAIDs) e.g. indomethacin or ibuprofen

Side Effect of Adiuretin :

Serious :

• Itching.
• Confusion.
• Skin rashes.
• Ankle swelling.
• Nausea or vomiting.
• Swelling of the face.
• Difficulty in breathing.
• Unexplained weight gain.
• Unusually bad or prolonged headache.
• Wheeziness, chest tightness or coughing.
• Low level of sodium in your blood can lead to fits.

Common :

• Headache
• Stomach pain
• Blocked or runny nose,
• Nose bleeds

Talk To Your Doctor:

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

• suffer from angina.
• have cystic fibrosis.
• suffer from serious kidney disease.
• have high blood pressure or heart problems.
• are allergic to desmopressin or any of the other ingredients in the medicine.
• suffer from Type IIB Von Willebrands disease (classed as moderate to severe) since platelet aggregation may be induced.

Pregnancy and Breast-Feeding :

If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, please inform your doctor before you use ADIURETIN as blood pressure monitoring is recommended due to the increased risk of pre-eclampsia (symptoms of pre-eclampsia include high blood pressure, oedema (swelling due to the buildup of fluid) and proteinuria (protein in the urine) If you are breast-feeding, ask your doctor for advice before using ADIURETIN.

Storage:

Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date.

Store at room temperature (15-25C).
