Talk to your doctor before taking AFDURA, if you:
- are allergic to Alfuzosin, Dutasteride or to any of the other ingredients
- are elderly
- have hypertension
- have coronary insufficiency
- have angina
- have kidney or liver problems
Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines such as
- other alpha-blockers such as doxazosin, indoramin, prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin, or phenoxybenzamine
- ketoconazole or itraconazole medicine used to treat fungal infections
- ritonavir medicine used to treat viral infection
- glyceryl trinitrate medicine used to treat chest pain
- nefazodone (an antidepressant)
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Swallow this medicine whole with a glass of water
- Do not break or crush the medicine
If you take more AFDURA
- If you have taken a lot more medicines than you should, speak to your doctor straightaway
If you forget to take AFDURA
- If you miss a dose take it as soon as possible.Do not double the dose
If you stop taking AFDURA
- Do not stop taking this medication until your doctor instructs you to
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

- drowsiness, vomiting
- postural hypotension
- syncope, asthenia
- depression
- headache
- dry mouth or GI disturbances
- oedema
- blurred vision
- rhinitis
- erectile disorders
- flushes
- chest pain
- palpitation, tachycardia
- dizziness, lack of energy
- hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash (which can be itchy), hives (like a nettle rash)
- swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, arms or legs
- not able to achieve or maintain an erection (impotence)
- breast enlargement or tenderness (gynecomastia)
- heart failure
- hair loss (usually from the body) or hair growth.
- pain and swelling in your testicles
- water retention (may cause swollen arms of legs)
