What AL MITY D3 is used for?
It is used
- for maintaining healthy bones and teeth
- to maintain levels of the vitamin D3 in your body
- to treat and prevent calcium deficiency
- to treat certain bone conditions such as osteoporosis
- in patients undergoing kidney dialysis to remove excess phosphate from the blood
Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to calcium carbonate, vitamin D3 or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- have higher than normal levels of calcium in your blood
- have severe kidney failure
- have osteoporosis (thinning of the bones) due to long periods of inactivity, such as long-term bed rest
- have sarcoidosis (inflammation that produces lumps of cells in various organs in the body)
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
If you take more AL MITY D3
- If you take more of this medicine contact your doctor immediately
If you forget to take AL MITY D3
- If you forget to take AL MITY D3 take them as soon as possible and then continue to take them as normal. Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten dose
If you stop taking AL MITY D3
- Do not stop taking this medicine. Always talk to your doctor before you stop taking this medicine
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
