ALASPAN AM Tablet is used for the treatment of following conditions:

• Sneezing
• Watery eyes
• Hay fever
• Itching from hives
• Runny nose
• Certain allergies

ALASPAN AM Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

ALASPAN AM Tablet belongs to the class of drugs called anti-histamines. The drug acts by stimulating the cells to release chemicals by blocking the action of endogeneous histamines. Thus, it helps in providing a temporary relief to the symptoms.

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take ALASPAN AM Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

• Swallow the tablet/capsule whole, do not crush or chew the tablet/capsule.
• ALASPAN AM Tablet can be taken with food or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents the stomach upset.
• For syrup dosage form, shake the suspension well before use. Use a measuring cup to measure each dose.

If you miss a dose of ALASPAN AM Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

The overdose symptoms of ALASPAN AM Tablet may include:

• Severe drowsiness
• Trouble breathing
• Headache

Drugs that interact with ALASPAN AM Tablet include the following:

• Amiodarone
• Darunavir
• Dasatinib
• Diltiazem
• Etravirine
• Fluvoxamine
• Histoplasmin
• Palonosetron
• Tacrolimus
• Tenofovir
• Voriconazole

You are advised not to take ALASPAN AM Tablet if

• it has passed the expiry date of the medicine printed on the pack.
• the foil or packaging is torn or shows signs of tampering or there is discolouration.

• Tell your doctor if you have any history of kidney or liver disease.
• Inform the doctor if you are taking any other drugs, OTC medications, herbal products or nutritional supplements.
• Inform your doctor while using ALASPAN AM Tablet during breastfeeding.

1. Can I alter the dose of ALASPAN AM Tablet?

No. It is not advised to alter the dose of ALASPAN AM Tablet as it can increase the risk of side effects.

2. Can ALASPAN AM Tablet be used in children?

Avoid using ALASPAN AM Tablet medicine in children below 6 years of age. However, consult a doctor before using the drug in children.

3. Can I use ALASPAN AM Tablet medication while having phenylketonuria?

Avoid taking ALASPAN AM Tablet medication while suffering from phenylketonuria.
