What is AROMASIN 25MG?
- AROMASIN 25MG contains Exemestane which belongs to a group of medicines known as aromatase inhibitors

What AROMASIN 25MG is used for?
AROMASIN 25MG is used to treat hormone dependent,
- early breast cancer in postmenopausal women after they have completed 2-3 years of treatment with the medicine tamoxifen
- advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women when a different hormonal drug treatment has not worked well enough
Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to exemestane or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- have not attained menopause (you are still having your monthly period)
- have liver or kidney problem
- are suffering from any condition which affects the strength of your bones
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- AROMASIN 25MG should be taken by mouth after a meal at approximately the same time each day
- The recommended dose is one 25 mg tablet daily
If you take more AROMASIN 25MG
- If you take more AROMASIN 25MG, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital
If you forget to take AROMASIN 25MG
- If you forget to take AROMASIN 25MG, take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
- Do not take two doses at the same time
If you stop taking AROMASIN 25MG
- Do not stop taking your tablet unless your doctor tells you
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

- reduction in oestrogen levels
- inflammation of the liver (hepatitis) and bile ducts of the liver
- depression
- difficulty sleeping
- headache, increased sweating, hot flushes
- dizziness, tiredness
- muscle and joint pain
- a reduction in the number of white blood cells or platelets
- abdominal pain
- elevated level of liver enzymes
- elevated level of a haemoglobin breakdown in the blood
- loss of appetite
- carpal tunnel syndrome (a combination of pins and needles, numbness and pain affecting all the hand except the little finger) or tingling/prickling of the skin
- stomach ache, vomiting, constipation, indigestion, diarrhoea
- hair loss
- thinning of bones leading to bone fractures
- pain, swollen hands and feet
