Talk to your doctor before you are taking ASTIN CV 20/75MG, if you:

• are allergic to Atorvastatin or clopidogrel or any other ingredients of this medicine
• have a medical condition that is currently causing bleeding
• have had a previous stroke
• have kidney or liver problems
• have an under-active thyroid gland (hypothyroidism)
• have had repeated or unexplained muscle aches or pains
• have severe respiratory failure
• a recent serious injury
• have had a clot in an artery of your brain (ischemic stroke) which occurred within the last seven days
• develop a medical condition (also known as Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura or TTP)

• Do not take if you are pregnant, or if you are trying to become pregnant or breast feeding
• The safety of ASTIN CV 20/75MG during pregnancy and breast-feeding has not yet been proven. Ask your doctor for advice before taking any medicine

• Do not give this medicine to children because it does not work

• Normally this medicine does not affect your ability to drive or operate machines

Atorvastatin

• swelling of face, tongue and throat that can cause great difficulty in breathing.
• serious illness with severe peeling and swelling of the skin, blistering of the skin, mouth, eyes, genitals and fever
• Skin rash with pink-red blotches especially on palms of hands or soles of feet which may blister
• muscle weakness, tenderness or pain
• problems with unexpected or unusual bleeding or bruising, this may be suggestive of a liver complaint

Clopidogrel

• fever, signs of infection or extreme tiredness. These may be due to rare decrease of some blood cells
• signs of liver problems such as yellowing of the skin and/or the eyes (jaundice)
• bleeding which appears under the skin as red pinpoint dots and/or confusion
• swelling in the mouth or skin disorders such as rashes and itching, blisters of the skin

Atorvastatin

• inflammation of the nasal passages, pain in the throat, nose bleed
• allergic reactions
• increases in blood sugar levels (if you have diabetes continue careful monitoring of your blood sugar levels), increase in blood creatine kinase
• headache, nausea, constipation, wind, indigestion, diarrhoea
• joint pain, muscle pain and back pain
• blood test results that show your liver function can become abnormal

Clopidogrel

• bleeding may occur as bleeding in the stomach or bowels
• bruising, haematoma (unusual bleeding or bruising under the skin), nose bleed, blood in the urine
• bleeding in the eye, inside the head, the lung or the joints has also been reported

Atorvastatin

• anorexia (loss of appetite), weight gain, decreases in blood sugar levels (if you have diabetes you should continue careful monitoring of your blood sugar levels)
• having nightmares, insomnia
• dizziness, numbness or tingling in the fingers and toes, reductions of sensation to pain or touch, change in sense of taste, loss of memory
• blurred vision
• ringing in the ears and/or head
• vomiting, belching, abdominal pain upper and lower, pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas leading to stomach pain)
• hepatitis (liver inflammation)
• neck pain, muscle fatigue
• fatigue, feeling unwell, weakness, chest pain, swelling especially in the ankles (oedema), raised temperature
• urine tests that are positive for white blood cells

Clopidogrel

• headache
• stomach ulcer, vomiting, nausea, constipation
• excessive gas in stomach or intestines
• rashes, itching, dizziness, sensation of tingling and numbness

Atorvastatin

• visual disturbance
• unexpected bleeding or bruising
• cholestasis (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes)
• tendon injury

Clopidogrel

• Vertigo
• enlarged breasts in males

Atorvastatin

• an allergic reaction
• hearing loss
• gynecomastia (breast enlargement in men)

Clopidogrel

• Jaundice
• severe abdominal pain with or without back pain
• fever, breathing difficulties sometimes associated with cough
• generalized allergic reactions
• swelling in the mouth
• blisters of the skin, skin allergy
• sore mouth (stomatitis)
• decrease in blood pressure
• confusion, hallucinations
• joint pain
• muscular pain
• changes in taste of food

• Store at room temperature (15 - 25C)
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
