WHAT IS CALOY CM?

CALOY CM contains Calcium carbonate and Cholecalciferol.

THERAPEUTIC USES:

What CALOY CM is used for?It is used:

• for maintaining healthy bones and teeth.
• to maintain levels of the vitamin D3 in your body.
• to treat and prevent calcium deficiency.
• to treat certain bone conditions such as osteoporosis.
• in patients undergoing kidney dialysis to remove excess phosphate from the blood.

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking:

• Digoxin
• Thyroxine.
• Bisphosphonates.
• Iron or fluoride medicines.
• Diuretics or corticosteroids.
• Tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics.
• Calcium supplements or antacids for indigestion.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

SERIOUS:

• allergic reactions marked by itching, wheezing, rash, swelling of the tongue or throat.

RARE:

• constipation, wind, feeling sick, stomach ache, diarrhoea.
• skin rash.
• hypercalcaemia (too much calcium in your blood) or hypercalciuria (too much calcium in your urine).

WARNING & PRECAUTIONS:

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

• are allergic to calcium carbonate, vitamin D3 or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• have higher than normal levels of calcium in your blood.
• have severe kidney failure.
• have osteoporosis (thinning of the bones) due to long periods of inactivity, such as long-term bed rest.
• have sarcoidosis (inflammation that produces lumps of cells in various organs in the body).

PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.

STORAGE:

• Store at room temperature (15-25C).
• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date.

Q1.If I take more CALOY CM? If you take more of this medicine contact your doctor immediately

Q2.If I forget to take CALOY CM? If you forget to take CALOY CM take them as soon as possible and then continue to take them as normal. Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten dose

Q3.If I stop taking CALOY CM? Do not stop taking this medicine. Always talk to your doctor before you stop taking this medicine.
