Tell your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to Fluocinolone or to any other contents of this medicine
- have skin ulcers, wounds or burn on the skin
- have certain skin problems, including ichthyosis (a condition causing rough, fish-scale like skin), juvenile plantar dermatosis (a skin problem on the feet of children)
- have common acne or acne rosacea
- have cushings syndrome (damage to body tissues due to high levels of the hormone cortisol in the blood over a long time)
- have diabetes
- have adrenal insufficiency (condition in which the adrenal gland do not produce adequate amounts of steroid hormones, primarily cortisol)
- Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Apply a small amount of this medicine to cover the affected area of skin with in a thin even film and rub it in gently two to four times daily
- The treated skin area should not be bandaged or otherwise covered or wrapped as to be occlusive unless directed by your doctor
- If any infection develops, the use of the occlusive dressings should be discontinued
If you use more FLUCORT
- If you use more of this medicine, remove the excess medicine by washing with water
If you forgot to apply FLUCORT
- Continue to apply as directed but do not apply twice as much to make up for the missed application
If you stop using FLUCORT
- Do not stop using this medicine unless told to do so by your doctor
Like all medicines, FLUCORT may cause some side effects, although not everyone gets them.
