IFEX M 1gm Injection is used for the treatment of testicular cancer and prophylaxis of haemorrhagic cystitis.

This drug acts by binding to intracellular molecular structures and exhibiting cytotoxic action by alkylating the DNA, which results in cell death. Thus, it helps in inhibiting the cancer cell proliferation.

Mesna belongs to the class of drugs called cytoprotectants. This drug acts by reducing the toxicity of urotoxic compounds that occur after chemotherapy. It also reduces the risk of bleeding and inflammation in cancer patients who received cyclophosphamide.
