Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to idebenone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- have any blood, liver or kidney problems
NORWAYZ contains lactose (a type of sugar). If you have been told by your doctor that you have lactose intolerance or that you cannot tolerate or digest some sugars, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine
- Your doctor will prescribe NORWAYZ to you only if the benefits of the treatment are greater than the risks to the unborn child
- NORWAYZ may pass into the mother’s milk. If you are breast-feeding your doctor will discuss with you whether to stop breast-feeding or to stop taking the medicine
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you might be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
Some medicine may interact with NORWAYZ. Tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, especially any of the following:
- antihistamines to treat allergies (astemizole, terfenadine)
- cisapride, to treat heartburn
- quinidine to treat heart rhythm disorders
- dihydroergotamine, ergotamine, to treat migraine
- cyclosporine to treat inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis
- sirolimus, tacrolimus, to prevent the rejection of an organ transplant
- pimozide to treat muscle and speech tics associated with Tourette syndrome
- fentanyl to treat strong pain
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water
- Do not crush or chew the tablet
If you take more NORWAYZ
- If you take more NORWAYZ than you should, talk to your doctor straight away
If you forget to take NORWAYZ
- If you forget a dose, skip the missed dose. Take the next dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking NORWAYZ
- Talk to your doctor before you stop taking this medicine
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
