Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to dapagliflozin, metformin HCl, or any of the ingredients in the medicine
- have moderate to severe kidney or liver problems
- have a condition called metabolic acidosis
- have type 1 diabetes or have had diabetic ketoacidosis
- have heart problems, including congestive heart failure
- drink alcohol very often, or drink a lot of alcohol in short-term binge drinking
- are going to get an injection of dye or contrast agents for an x-ray procedure
- have bladder cancer
Tell your doctor if you are taking prescription, nonprescription or any herbal medicines. Inform your doctor especially if you are taking
- diuretics such as furosemide
- rifampin (used to treat or prevent tuberculosis)
- phenytoin or phenobarbital (used to control seizures)
- ritonavir (used to treat HIV infections)
- digoxin (used to treat heart problems)
- Take OXRAMET XR exactly as your doctor tells you to
- Take the medicine orally once daily with meals
- Swallow the medicine whole
- Do not crush, cut, or chew the medicine
If you take too much OXRAMET XR
- Call your healthcare provider or go to the nearest hospital right away
If you Forgot to take OXRAMET XR
- Take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time
If you Stop taking OXRAMET XR
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

- have low blood pressure
- low blood sugar (hypoglycemia
- low vitamin B12 (vitamin B12 deficiency)
- vaginal infection or itching
- yeast infection of the penis (balanitis
- increased fats in your blood (bad cholesterol or LDL)
- vaginal yeast infections and yeast infections of the penis
- stuffy or runny nose and sore throat
- urinary tract infections
- diarrhea
- headache
- nausea and vomiting
