PHENPRES Injection injection is used to treat low blood pressure caused due to spinal anaesthesia or circulatory failure.

PHENPRES Injection may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

PHENPRES Injection belongs to a class of drugs called adrenergic cardiac stimulants. This drug increases the systolic and diastolic blood pressure and decreases the cardiac output. The coronary blood flow is increased by decreasing the limb blood flow and constricting the blood vessels.

The dosage and the drug form depends on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual.

2. Is it common to develop persistent pain or redness at the site of injection?

The occurrence of pain or redness is rare while using PHENPRES Injection . However, please consult your doctor immediately.

3. Is it safe to use PHENPRES Injection if I have used Isocarboxazid in the recent past?

No, it is not advisable to use PHENPRES Injection if you have taken isocarboxazid recently.  Concomitant use may result in a severe increase in the blood pressure.
