PIROX 20mg Tablet tablet/injection is used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

PIROX 20mg Tablet gel is used to treat inflammation characterised by pain or stiffness.

PIROX 20mg Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

PIROX 20mg Tablet belongs to the class of drugs called cyclo-oxygenase inhibitors. The drug acts by blocking the action of a COX-1 enzyme, which hinders the production of prostaglandins. It prevents the formation of thromboxane A2 by blocking the migration of leukocytes to the site of inflammation. Thus, it relieves pain and inflammation.
