What UROLAX ER is used for?
UROLAX ER is a prescription medicine for adults used to treat the following symptoms due to a condition called overactive bladder:
- having a strong need to urinate with leaking or wetting incidents (urge urinary incontinence)
- having a strong need to urinate right away (urgency)
- having to urinate often (frequency)
Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- have any stomach or intestinal problems
- have trouble emptying your bladder or you have a weak urine stream
- have liver problems
- have kidney problems
- have a condition called myasthenia gravis
- or any of your family members have a rare heart condition called QT prolongation
- have trouble emptying your bladder (also called urinary retention)
- have stomach empties slowly (also called gastric retention)
- have an eye problem called uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma
Tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
- Fesoterodine used to treat overactive bladder
- Ketoconazole, itraconazole, miconazole used for fungal infections
- Clarithromycin used for bacterial infections
- Ritonavir, saquinavir, atazanavir used for treatment of HIV infection
- Cyclosporine, vinblastine used to treat cancer
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Take it once a day, the same time each day
- Swallow the whole with a glass of water
- UROLAX ER can be taken with or without food
If you take more UROLAX ER
- If you take more UROLAX ER, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to take UROLAX ER
- If you miss a dose of UROLAX ER, begin taking UROLAX ER again the next day. Do not take 2 doses of UROLAX ER in the same day
If you stop taking UROLAX ER
- Always consult your doctor if you are thinking of stopping the treatment
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

What is overactive bladder?
- Overactive bladder happens when you cannot control your bladder muscle
- When the muscle contracts too often or cannot be controlled, you get symptoms of overactive bladder, which are leakage of urine (urge urinary incontinence), needing to urinate right away (urgency), and needing to urinate often (frequency)
