What VALCHEK 450MG is used for?

• It is used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis in people who have acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)
• It is used to prevent CMV disease in people who have received a kidney, heart or kidney-pancreas transplant

• Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
• Swallow the tablet with water
• Take VALCHEK 450MG with food
• Do not break or crush this medicine

If you take more VALCHEK 450MG

• If you have taken more VALCHEK 450MG than you should, talk to your doctor or local hospital accident and emergency department

If you forgot to take VALCHEK 450MG

• Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten individual doses. If you have forgotten to take your medicine, take it as soon as you remember
• If your next dose is due within 2 hours, take the dose now and skip the next one

If you Stop taking VALCHEK 450MG

• Do not stop taking this medicine, until the doctor has told you to do so
