What VALEX ER 1000MG is used for? VALEX ER 1000MG is used,

• to treat manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder.
• to treat complex partial seizures in adults and children 10 years of age and older.
• to treat simple and complex absence seizures, with or without other seizure types.
• to prevent migraine headaches.

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, herbal supplements and medicines that you take for a short period of time.

• carbamazepine.
• primidone.
• phenobarbital.
• rifampin.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Take VALEX ER 1000MG exactly as your healthcare provider tells you Your healthcare provider may change your dose.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Like all medicines VALEX ER 1000MG can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.

SERIOUS:

• liver damage that can cause death, especially in children younger than 2 years old.
• nausea or vomiting that does not go away.
• abdominal discomfort.
• dark urine.
• swelling of your face.
• yellowing of your skin or eyes.
• suicidal thoughts.
• worse depression or anxiety.
• panic attacks.
• trouble sleeping (insomnia).
• allergic reactions like fever, skin rash, hives, sores in your mouth, blistering and peeling of your skin.
• drowsiness or sleepiness in the elderly.

COMMON:

• nausea.
• headache
• sleepiness.
• vomiting.
• weakness.
• dizziness.
• stomach pain.
• blurry vision.
• weight gain.
• hair loss.
• problems with walking or coordination.

• Do not drive a car or operate dangerous machinery until you know how VALEX ER 1000MG affects you.
• VALEX ER 1000MG can slow your thinking and motor skills.

STORAGE:

• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Store at room temperature (15-25C).
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date.
