VIROLIS 30mg Tablet is used in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.

VIROLIS 30mg Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

VIROLIS 30mg Tablet belongs to the class of drugs called anti-retroviral agents. This combination acts by incorporating synthetic nucleosides into the viral DNA. Thus, it inhibits viral DNA replication and propagation.

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take VIROLIS 30mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Take VIROLIS 30mg Tablet with or without food.

If you miss a dose of VIROLIS 30mg Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

You are advised not to take VIROLIS 30mg Tablet if

• it has passed the expiry date of the medicine printed on the pack.
• the foil or packaging is torn or shows signs of tampering or there is discolouration.

• Inform your doctor if you have any pre-existing liver disease, kidney disease or bleeding problems.
• Inform the doctor if you are taking any other drug, OTC medications, herbal products or nutritional supplements.
• Inform the doctor if you have any hypersensitivity to any of the drugs in VIROLIS 30mg Tablet
• Notify your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

1. How is VIROLIS 30mg Tablet stored?

VIROLIS 30mg Tablet is stored at room temperature (20 – 25° C) in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, heat and moisture.

2. Can I discontinue taking VIROLIS 30mg Tablet when I feel better?

Do not stop taking VIROLIS 30mg Tablet abruptly unless instructed by the doctor. Discontinuing the medication suddenly may cause the illness to return.

3. Can I take Rifampin while on VIROLIS 30mg Tablet?

No, it is not advisable to take any drug while on VIROLIS 30mg Tablet as it may cause drug interactions. However, please consult your doctor before taking the drug.
