Talk to your before using this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to salicylic acid, lactic acid or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- have warts on your face, around your back passage or genitals
- have moles, birthmarks, warts with hair growing from them or other sensitive areas
- have some area of skin irritated, reddened or infected
- have diabetes
- have any viral infection
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine
- Use WATNIL once a day, before bedtime
- It may take 4 to 8 weeks for visible improvement
- Keep using WATNIL either until the wart has been treated for 12 weeks or until you can see the lines of your skin again (called ‘ridge lines’)
- Speak to a doctor if warts last longer than 12 weeks or if skin irritation develops
- Avoid smoking or being near an open flame whilst using WATNIL, or immediately after use
If you forgot to use WATNIL
- Do not apply a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. If you forget to take a dose apply it as soon as you remember it and then apply the next dose at the right time
If you stop using WATNIL
- Do not stop using WATNIL, unless your doctor instructs you to do so
Like all medicines, WATNIL can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
